Agenda
Beginning of One Government World: With major players including the United Nations, World Health Organization, and the World Bank involved in these costly ideas, and international organizations dictating the rules, we are looking at a single entity for single governmental world control. The Kyoto protocol and the cap and trade systems are methods of dismantling successful economies and limiting growth. The United States has been a constant target because of it’s refusal to ratify the Kyoto protocol. The Canadians signed and ratified only later to discover the flaws of the system. Canada made a statement after the election in 2006 concerning the Kyoto protocol. In this statement they said that they “would not purchase international credits…Canada was not going to comply with its Kyoto obligations”(Williams & Zakrison, 2007). Canada decided that it was to difficult and to costly to their citizens. Instead they have implemented their own program called Turning the Corner. In their plan, they are not only choosing sollutions to reduce greenhouse gas emissions but also to reduce air pollution (Williams & Zakrison, 2007). The Canadian’s are working at creating a better, heathier envioronment for their citizens, by encouraging companies to explore an assortment of ways to decrease emissions that cause air pollution.
More Taxes: In 2007, the idea of taxing countries not involved in the Kyoto protocol was laid upon the table along with the possibility of imposing sanctions and tarrifs through the World Trade Organization (Williams & Zakrison, 2007). With this type of control, citizens must be skeptical of the issues presented. With more government policies, we create more regulations, and less freedom. Remember, the main powers that rule Kyoto protocol and the cap and trade systems are the United Nations and the World Bank.
Question the Agenda: When control is being pursued by such a large entity as the World Bank, we must question if the intention is to gain power, through environmental control and money. The general public doesn’t understand the issues being addressed, when the media uses abbreviations and acronyms. Mainstream media is pulling the wool over our eyes. We are being distracted. When national and international policies are being pursued for the implementation of new taxes or treaties involving the United States, the media should adhere to stringent reporting practices without prejudice. The over use of so many acronyms and abbreviations by the mainstream media and elected government officials has got to stop. They are not only creating impending fear in our society but also ignorance and helplessness. This propaganda style reporting is creating a nation of lemurs. One world government has been in the works for a very long time. The game is becoming more complicated with sophisticated propaganda pushed by the media in order to gain control over a country.
The United States of America is the largest consumer and also one of the wealthiest nations. We have the freedom to invent, create and share ideas with others. More policies coupled with governmental control, will cause the loss of freedom. Democracy is the freedom to think, create, and to be heard. Kyoto protocol’s hidden agenda is to distribute the wealth evenly throughout the world at the cost of democracy. Canada realized this when they made the statement of non-compliance. Canada realized that “domestic air pollution would not be significantly reduced by international activities”(Williams & Zakrison, 2007) and decided to keep their financial aid at home. “Free enterprise leads to a thriving human community while a growing and sometimes misguided burden of regulations and restrictions too often impedes the creativity of the human spirit” (Sirico, 2005).
